I can not believe 2016 is about to come to a close but, honestly I am ready to see what great things are in store for the future. It’s a little scary and intimidating to think about sometimes but, I’ve learned to plan as much as possible and leave the rest to God.
Being newly married and 4 months pregnant, my planning has been in overdrive! I try as much as I can to keep calm and plan for each day but… when your plans include someone else they become so much bigger.
I have a new car for my baby to ride in.
I have a new, beautiful home with more rooms and a kitchen with an island and beautiful backsplash that my husband, my baby, and I can live and grow in.
I have a career that I love that brings in $10,000 a month and affords me the opportunity and flexibility to stay at home with my baby.
(*FYI: I learned to write my dreams, desires, and goals as if I am already living them.)
Part of my planning includes sitting down and writing down my goals in every area of my life–financial, relationships, career, spiritual, physical and emotional. This is something I do throughout the year anyway but, the close of another year always makes me want to do a serious assessment of all that I have done, what I’ve learned, mistakes made, and any changes that I want to make.
The next step used to include scouring through a dozen or more magazines, trying to find pics that reflected all of my goals (although fun, this was a task in itself) and then cutting and pasting pics onto a white poster board.
Two years ago, my love suggested that I go digital with my vision boards. After an eyeroll or two, I decided to try one out and it turned out great! I was able to get all of the images I really liked since I got them online and I liked how neat it came out. No more scissors and glue!
I can help you put your goals on paper. Try a new approach for the new year with a different type of vision board.
