7 Daily Affirmations For Self-Care and Success

Now more than ever, I’ve realized the importance of strengthening my mind. Anxiety, stress, and procrastination will creep up on me if I don’t and I’m not trying to entertain that at all.

I remember when I was praying for God to bless my husband and I with a baby, and I had to write down positive things about my body. I wrote down that my body was healed. I wrote (and said) that we would have beautiful, healthy children. Even on the days when I could not see it, I had to tell myself that it would.

My game plan changes every few months usually but, right now I have decided to:

  1. Wake up between 5:30 and 6:00.
  2. Get my day started with prayer and affirmations.
  3. Get my body moving (stretching or a workout routine on YouTube or Instagram).
  4. Knock out some work (even 15 to 30 minutes helps a lot before the rest of the house is up).

I was never big on affirmations a few years ago because I felt like it was some fairy, “pie in the sky” stuff honestly. Combined with prayers though, it helps a LOT to get me in the right head space to face the day. Whenever I have one too many days where I feel overwhelmed, on edge, and unmotivated I know that I’ve fallen off of my routine.

Here a few affirmations that I say in my head and out loud sometimes. I also make a habit of writing them down in my journal:

I am exactly where I need to be. I welcome the challenges and opportunities that I am facing today and I will grow from them.

I push fear aside to take action in faith, because I know God is with me.

I honor my desires by asking for what I want.

I am amazed by my body and its abilities.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and I treat my body as such.

I practice self-care regularly.  I feel good about taking care of myself.

I embrace success in all areas of my life.

Your mind is so powerful! Get into the habit of doing and saying things that will promote good thoughts because it really does become your reality. Believe me, I know that some days it is tough but also know that it can and will get better.
